Organization Tips For A Fresh Spring Wardrobe

March 20^th was the start of spring season and is a wonderful time to make some edits and subtle changes to your wardrobe in an effort to invent a fresh Spring look. If you like to shop, Spring is a fun season to add in pops of color and fun details that you would not wear during the other months.

Make use of some fabulous items you already own: To stay on top of trends while preserving your wallet, the best thing to do is rearrange your closet. Put the lighter, brighter colored frocks towards the center of your closet and pack away most of your wintertime clothing items. Keep some heavier basic layering pieces like lightweight sweaters, blazers and capes.When you rearrange your closet like this and store away the heavier items, you are making room for a couple of new additions.  Also, utilizing what you have instead of buying all new pieces is a great way to conserve money. Recycling some basic pieces can go a long way when you simply add a few fun accessories. You can have a beautiful wardrobe for this pre-summer season. The key to spring this year is layering light items to accommodate a shift in weather and incorporating brighter, cheerier colors into your everyday wear.

Keep color in mind when you are choosing your accessories, coral, brown and pink can be great bases and are taken to the next level when you accent it with bright purple, sunburst yellow, sun-kissed blue and olive green. Of course, if you are wearing colorful clothing, the addition of diamond jewelry accessories like a classic diamond pendant or pair of designer stud earrings would add more glamour!

Thursday March 17th is the holiday best known for wearing green, and many after work celebrations take place in honor of this day. When it comes to deciding what to wear on this holiday, it should be pretty easy – as long as you choose something green and festive, you will fit with the crowd. Whether it’s a work party, happy hour after hours or simple gathering, accessorizing with a few selective items will put you in the party mood. Don't overdo it by wearing head to toe green and you will be a fashionable St Patty’s Day lady!

Work party – wear an emerald green button down with a pair of fitted black slacks.

After hours – choose a skirt of pair of dark jeans and heels to create a night time look.

Cocktail party- green dress with neutral or dark heels, jewelry, and subtle makeup.

Academy Awards: Fashion Favorites

Every year, the Oscars provide a platform for designers to showcase their newest creations on the honored celebrities and entertainers. Sunday night was the 2011 Academy Awards show on NBC and the stars in attendance were certainly dressed to impress. The excitement was palpable as celebrities headed down the red carpet, photographers and videographers recording their every step. The obligatory question is always, “Who are you wearing”? This year’s assortments of gowns on the red carpet were outstanding and some of my favorite. Many of the dresses were bright, bold colors and were made of soft fabrics in flowing designs. My favorites were not the bright colored dresses, but the earth toned, whites, grays and blacks.

The accessories and "bling" on the red carpet is just as noteworthy. This year we saw a number of showstoppers including multiple carat diamond bracelets, gorgeous diamond drop earrings like the ones worn by Resse Witherspoon and statement diamond necklaces like the one Helen Mirren wore.
