FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND BUYING GUIDE

What length are your bangle bracelets?

All of our diamond bangles come in a standard 7” in circumference. Bangles which feature a flexible cuff like design with links can be made in any length, along with any bracelet from our Unity Collection.

Can bangle bracelets be re-sized?

Bangle Bracelets cannot be resized due to their design. Each piece of the bangle is cast in a mold and there are no links that can be removed. An exception is our flexible cuffs our any piece from our Unity Collection.

Can you stack bangle bracelets with other bracelets?

Yes! There are endless possibilities of how you can wear your jewelry collection together, whether its mixing metals, materials or designs. As a general rule of thumb, bracelets should not cover more than one third of your forearm and you should space out bracelet sizes and styles – especially larger pieces. For example, if you choose two wider bracelets for your stack, place a few thinner bracelets in between to create balance and contrast.

What is the difference between bracelet and bangles?

Both bracelets and bangles are worn on the wrist but differ in their design. Bracelets tend to be flexible and more intricate, with many stone links or chain comprising the overall design.

Bangles, on the other hand, generally have a firm form and structure and their overall doesn’t change. All of our bangles can be opened with a tongue style locking mechanism with an additional figure 8 or underclasp locking feature.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND BUYING GUIDE

Can you stack gemstone bracelets with diamond bracelets?

Absolutely! When it comes to jewelry, there are no rules when it comes to wearing pieces together. Whether a gemstone bracelet is paired with a solid gold or a silver piece or even a diamond bracelet – feel free to mix and match your pieces for a contemporary look.

Which gemstone is best suited for daily wear?

The best gemstones for everyday wear are harder and more durable. Diamonds are the hardest stone, followed by rubies, sapphires, amethyst and citrine. Setting designs that are protective can also help gemstones to be worn safely on a daily basis, including those that are more vulnerable to scratches. A bezel setting, is a good example, where the gemstone is wrapped in a continuous circle of precious metal to keep it secure.

What is the best way to clean a gemstone bracelet?

The most important rule in keeping your gemstones clean and safe is to keep it simple. Gemstones are softer and more vulnerable to damage than diamonds, therefore, need to be handled with more care. Anjolee recommends cleaning gemstones in a mild soap and warm water solution. Be sure that there is no abrasive element or bleach in the soap, which could cause irreversible damage to the gemstones. Wipe clean with a microfiber cloth. If you have any doubts, contact an Anjolee jewelry specialist and we can help answer any questions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND BUYING GUIDE

Is gold or platinum better for an engagement ring?

Gold is a slightly less expensive than platinum and is a popular choice for engagement rings. Remember, if you select white gold, you will need to periodically have your ring rhodium plated to keep the shiny white lustre. Platinum is heavier and can feel more substantial on the finger. It also requires almost no maintenance and is a durable alternative to gold, which is a softer metal.

What are the “Four C’s”

Cut: A diamond´s cut is considered the most important characteristic because it is what gives a diamond its brilliance. The angles and finish of a diamond are what determines its ability to handle light.

Clarity: A diamond’s clarity is determined by the amount and visibility of inclusions (the tiny pinpoints, markings and clouding that can affect a diamond’s overall appearance). The fewer inclusions there are, the higher the diamond’s value.

Color: Natural diamonds have a wide range of colors ranging from completely colorless to slightly yellow, or brown. Generally, the less color a diamond has, the more valuable it is.

Carat: The unit of measurement for a diamond's weight is known as a carat. This is one of the major factors that determine a diamond’s price. The value increases exponentially for higher carat weights.

If you choose a white gold ring, periodically, you may want to have your ring rhodium plated to maintain its white luster, platinum and yellow gold don’t require this. How many carats should an engagement ring be?

The number of carats depends on your budget and lifestyle. The quality of the diamond, but most importantly, the size of the diamond will be the largest factor in determining price. Consider the 4 c’s when purchasing a diamond (cut, clarity, color, carat weight).

Almost all engagement rings offered on our website come with a perfectly matching wedding band designed specifically for the particular engagement ring itself. Many choose matching metal types (i.e. 14kt gold) and diamond qualities for both the engagement and wedding bands, however, mixing and matching metal colors has become increasingly popular.

Finally, where will be the bracelet be worn? Is it an everyday piece that will rarely be taken off or a piece for special occasions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND BUYING GUIDE

How do I determine the correct length for a diamond bracelet?

Using a soft measuring tape or piece of string, gently wrap it around your wrist where you would like to wear your bracelet. If using a piece of string, measure the length against a ruler or measuring tape. Take that length and add half an inch to determine your ideal fit for a tennis bracelet.

Typically, it is recommended to wear the bracelet on the least dominant hand to reduce wear and tear on your bracelet.

Can I wear a diamond bracelet every day?

Yes! Diamond tennis bracelets are a timeless design that can be dressed up or down depending on your look. Many choose to stack their diamond tennis bracelet with other bracelets or bangles.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND BUYING GUIDE

What diamond color and clarity should I choose?

The answer for diamond color will depend on the metal color you choose for your bracelet. If you are selecting yellow or rose gold, you can drop down the scale on diamond color and go with one that may have warmer tones. If you choose white gold or platinum, diamonds with a yellowish hue may appear more noticeable. All diamonds at Anjolee are graded at a minimum near colorless on the diamond color scale.

The importance of clarity will depend on the size of diamonds going in the bracelet. In pieces where each diamond is smaller in size, it is not easy to spot imperfections without special equipment. Where the stones are larger – half carat and above, you may want to select diamonds that are SI2 in clarity or better, so that you won’t be able to see any inclusions in the stones.

How do I take care of my tennis bracelet?

As with all fine jewelry, it is a good idea to have it serviced by a reputable jeweler every few years to ensure the bracelet remains clean and problem free. Depending on the frequency of wear, you may want to have your bracelet inspected more or less often. You can also clean it yourself at home, using a solution of mild soap and warm water with a soft cloth.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS AND BUYING GUIDE

Yes. Anjolee makes every piece listed on the website and if you need your piece adjusted up or down in size, we can do that for you. Contact us for more information.

Yes. In addition to mined diamonds, Anjolee offers lab created diamonds for all pieces offered on the website.

What is the difference between white gold and platinum?

Outside of cost, there are several factors that distinguish white gold and platinum. White gold has a beautiful bright white patina, achieved by rhodium plating, which periodically must be re-plated in order to maintain the bright white luster. Platinum does not have any coating and will build a natural patina over time.

In terms of durability, platinum is a dense metal and more durable to wear and tear than white gold, which is more prone to damage because of the alloys used in creating white gold.

Finally, platinum is a heavier metal, with white gold being lighter and better suited to people who may not desire the weight of platinum.

What finger do you wear an anniversary ring on?

An anniversary ring can be worn on any finger, unlike an engagement or wedding ring, which is traditionally worn on the left hand.

What is the difference between an anniversary ring and an eternity ring?

An anniversary ring features stones that go partially around the band of the ring, whereas an eternity ring (also called an infinity ring) has stones that go entirely around the ring for a seamless look of sparkle.

Does an anniversary ring replace the wedding band?

No, an anniversary ring is meant to compliment a wedding band, not replace it.
